Sweet Memories
I like to sit by the little stream
And hear the birds and wild things scream –
Just from sheer joy,
As happy as any care-free boy.
I like to walk up and down the little path
Where I’m always free from anger and wrath,
Where way, way back in the deep, deep wood
I’m always in a joyful mood.
I like to sit in my own little room,
Where however big the shadows loom,
No shadows of the darkened kind
Disturb my serene and peaceful mind
